Passing of Terry Ostrander
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Terry Ostrander, who died on September 23, 2025, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. Terry was a beloved friend and colleague to many of us at Timber Products.
For those who didn’t know Terry, he was our Veneer Sales Manager. Terry had a unique ability to connect with people and his presence always made a room feel brighter. It is clear that Terry left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Below are just a few notes about Terry and the enormous impact he left on us.
“T.O. was so charismatic and gregarious, and his ability to engage with others so easily made him a master at connecting with people – a great trait personally and professionally. He was an instant friend to most anyone he met. We connected through work, but we also had boys the same age competing in sports, which was also a fun connection. He is sadly missed.”

“Thirteen years ago, Terry was the impetus for my joining a gym and meeting the people who became my best friends. I would not know them otherwise. He changed my life for the better.” -Shannon Clemo
“Everyone talks about that one friend they wish everyone had, that was T.O. He always wanted to know how I was, how my daughter was, what was going on in my life. The last year, while going through treatment, he was more worried about everyone else than himself. He was an inspiration and I hope one day to be as strong as he was.” -Kelley Rhea

“T.O. was probably one of the most positive people I have ever met. As a fellow car guy, I enjoyed listening to him speak about his Corvette; this would include the trips he had taken, the modifications he had completed (the photo here was after modifications at Lingenfelter Performance) and the performance driving he was doing (some at the track and some maybe not at the track). I will miss the phone calls to discuss issues with orders and ideas for new business. We seemed to always be able to discuss an issue and come up with a plan.” -Dave Reed
“Terry had a contagious amount of positivity. One thing that I will always remember is the way he seemed to make an extra effort to help us younger people in the industry. He didn’t let me go on a day of work travel without a dinner invite. I always felt included when he was around.” -Kendall Conroy
“Terry and I first met back in 2002 when we both were working at Columbia Forest Products. T.O. was in sales and I was a finish end supervisor. During that time I was involved in an accident that shattered my hip, and I could not walk very well and could not drive. At the time Terry and I both lived in a small town outside Klamath Falls named Keno. The accident happened in November and at the time Terry and I did not really know each other that well but he would come to my home, remove the snow from the walkway and helped me get back and forth to work. Terry and I remained friends after that for all these years. He and Gene are the reason I came to work for Timber Products.” -Rowdy Male
“Terry always had a smile on his face, no matter what was going on. He was a pleasure to be around and he will be missed by many.” -Bill Nevell
“Terry T.O. Ostrander was a great Co-Worker and more importantly a Great Friend. He was my Eyes & Ears out in the Field…I miss him so much.” -Davis Edwards
“If you’re lucky in life and deserving of it you’ll find that true friendships become a cornerstone in your world. They can shape, guide and influence who you are and who you will become. The better the friendships, the better your life will be. If you are exceptionally lucky you might just have a friend like Terry. Terry was a son, a husband, a father, a brother and a true friend. One who supported, was honest, trusting and without judgement or fear listened and commented on shared experiences even through disagreements.
“Our friendship spanned over forty years. It started unexpectedly and ended with memories, stories and life changing events that I will forever be grateful for. It was in the last year of his life that my friend Terry showed all those around him just who he was. His courage to go forward with treatments was relentless. His positive spirit and attitude was inspiring. His dedication to his family became even stronger. At times he endured pain beyond my ability to truly understand. All of this knowing the final outcome. All of this without seeking pity or praise.
“I was fortunate to have spent a great deal of time with Terry and his family in his last year. That without question was life changing for me. Terry lived more in his last year than most people will ever live in their entire lives. My glass has always been half full, my friend Terry has filled it to the brim and I will be forever thankful. I miss you.” -Randy Lambert
“I love and miss my friend.” -Sam Stenerson
We extend our deepest condolences to Terry’s family, friends and colleagues. May the many memories of Terry bring comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing him and may his memory continue to inspire those whose lives he impacted. He will be greatly missed.
