Congratulations Jon Johnson!

After nearly ten years of dedicated service to Timber Products, we bid a fond farewell to Jon Johnson as he embarked on a well-deserved retirement beginning November 3, 2025. Jon admirably led our Michigan team as Regional Operations Manager since February 1, 2016, and was a significant contributor to our company’s overall mission. It has been our honor to work under his esteemed leadership.
Jon earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from Lake Superior State University prior to launching his career and joined Timber Products after an impressive 35-year career at Manistique Papers where he began his career as a Plant Engineer and eventually promoted to the General Manager role in 2004 with responsibility for the entire operation of the facility.
Our team has relied on Jon’s steady guidance and solid direction. He has been a highly respected leader who consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, “can do” attitude, approachability and sense of humor. Jon is a leader who successfully managed a team based on trust and he was the kind of leader who made his team want to work hard because of the tremendous respect the team had for him.
Jon served on numerous professional and community boards throughout his career with great dedication to focusing on ways to improve the well-being of the wider community.
He has left an indelible impression having been a major influence in so many of our lives simply by being an inspiring leader and incredible mentor – we thank you!
