A Fond Farewell and a Warm Welcome: Congratulations Lin Thompson and Welcome John Biedermann!

After an impressive 35+ year career in the hardwood plywood industry, Lin Thompson will be retiring at the end of this year. Lin joined Timber Products in 2000 as part of our Eastern Operations expansion in Corinth, MS. Lin was no stranger to the Hardwood Plywood Industry at the time, having started his career with Day Plywood in Cuthbert, GA.
For the last 25 years, Lin has been an integral part of our team…building relationships, serving customers and helping strengthen our presence in the Eastern market. He has made a meaningful impact on both our company and our customers. We are grateful for Lin’s many contributions and wish him nothing but the best as he begins this well-deserved new chapter. Congratulations on your retirement, Lin!
As we celebrate Lin’s retirement, we are also pleased to welcome John Biedermann to the TP Sales Team. John is a familiar face not only within the industry but also within Timber Products.
Lin introduced John to me back in 2001 when John was one of our customers, managing Atlanta Hardwoods. Back then, it was clear that John had a strong understanding of the market, a commitment to customer service and a reputation for integrity. His experience and industry relationships make him a tremendous addition to our team.
John started with Timber Products back in July and has been working closely with Lin these last months in preparation to take over the responsibility of southeastern plywood sales. Outside of work, John and his wife Lisa enjoy hiking the mountains of North Georgia where they live and spending time with their family.
Please join me in thanking Lin Thompson for his years of service, wishing him a great retirement and in welcoming John Biedermann to the Timber Products Team!
